This is my newest gallery. In the past year, I have gone back to working with encaustics (wax-based medium) as well as continuing to work with digital media. Encaustics is a very old medium going back to the Greeks. Encaustics literally means, “Burn In”. One of the big differences in my new work in encaustics is the incorporation of photographs or other imagery including digital imagery into some of the encaustic pieces. I have been working on balsam wood panels using photographs as the focus of some of the art.
